Gas safety

I. types of gas
1) compressed gas: oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, helium, etc.
2) dissolved gas: acetylene (dissolved in acetone)
3) liquefied gases: carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, propane, petroleum gas.
4) cryogenic liquefied gas: liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, etc.
Gas container and color code
1) seamless steel is used to make cylinders of high pressure gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, argon and carbon dioxide. Cylinders made of generally welded steel can be used for acetylene and propane.
2) the high pressure vessel is accompanied by a certificate of conformity, which shall be kept with the high pressure vessel as a technical file. Inspection should be carried out on time (e.g. once every three years) and the date of inspection should be engraved on the cylinder.
3) low-temperature storage tank and low-temperature tank vehicle
4) the cylinder color label is as follows:
Oxygen - sky blue nitrogen - black argon - grey hydrogen - green
Ammonia gas - yellow carbon dioxide - silver grey acetylene - white propane - earth red
Third, the use of high pressure gas should pay attention to problems
1) high pressure gas container should be stored outdoors. It should be kept upright and fixed firmly, and prevent direct sunlight and sun exposure.
2) for the acetylene pipe, the pressure gauge shall not be made of red copper (containing 60% copper), otherwise it will form copper acetylene, which is an explosive agent.
3) the high-pressure gas can only be used when it is equipped with the main pressure reducer. The pressure reducer, pressure gauge and catheter should be used exclusively. They are not allowed to replace each other.
4) high-pressure cylinder valve opens left-turn and closes right-turn, but the outlet thread of flammable or poisonous gas cylinder valve such as hydrogen, methane and carbon monoxide is reverse buckle. The cylinder valve switch USES the special hand wheel, does not use the long arm spanner strictly.
5) the valve should be fully opened when opening the bottle, but the rotary opening of the acetylene bottle should not exceed 1.5 revolutions, to prevent the flow of acetone.
6) if the pressure of acetylene in the cylinder is less than 0.5mpa, it should be replaced; otherwise, acetone in the cylinder will flow into the flame along the pipeline and cause fire
Increased flame instability noise, and caused the acetylene pipeline pollution plug.
7) the cylinder should be left with 0.5Mpa residual pressure. To prevent the cylinder from emptying, air is mixed into the pollution cylinder or formed in the cylinder explosion gas.
